Your primary responsibility is hitting Troops’ revenue goals through
• Establishing and refining a repeatable playbook for more enterprise deals as we go up market
• Providing hands on coaching through call reviews, shotgunning demos, and focused skill development

• Reinforcing sales processes with Salesforce and Troops CRM instrumentation across our various market segments (SMB, MM, Enterprise)

Troops is looking for our first dedicated Head of Finance and Operations to help implement and manage financial operations, AR/AP systems, legal review, people operations, and strategic planning.

As the Head of Finance and Operations, you will have controller and FP&A functions, along with management of people operations.

Key Financial Planning and Analysis Responsibilities
• Building and maintaining budgets and operating models for the company.
• Managing our ongoing pricing and packaging analysis and implementation strategies

Key Financial Reporting and Control Responsibilities
• Building robust Accounts Payable and Receivable systems
• Managing corporate bookkeeping and expense management

How will you get started at Troops?

In your first six weeks at Troops you will
• Gain a deep understanding of the Troops product experience and business model
• Develop a deep familiarity with the CRM market and enterprise messaging market, its key stakeholders, and its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
• Get up to speed on Troops bookkeeping and accounting systems by working with our outsourced accounting provider
• Familiarize yourself with our operating model and financial projections
• Familiarize yourself with payroll systems

In your first six months at Troops you will
• Take ownership over Troops operating model and financial projections and update quarterly and annual forecasts
• Assume primary responsibility for managing Troops bookkeeping, accounting, and AP/AR systems, which may include continued use of outsourced services. Of course, over this timeframe, the product and the company’s needs will change, so your role will also evolve with time — with a sharp eye towards your professional development and personal satisfaction.
• Manage our Salesforce, revenue and customer reporting and analytics

The Ideal Candidate
• Has 3-5 years of experience in a finance and operations role, preferably in a high-growth startup
• Must have excellent financial modeling and accounting skills
